The 2008 conference of the New Zealand Trace Elements Group was held 13-15 Feb 2008 in Hamilton, New Zealand. Topics included: Trace elements in the environment, agriculture and horticulture: from natural geochemical processes to modern anthropogenic impacts. Trace elements in human health: essential, non-essential, from intakes and biochemistry to epidemiology. Analytical techniques for measuring trace elements: from ensuring analytical accuracy and precision to state-of-the-art instruments. The 2008 conference featured 35 presentations (of which four were plenaries), and a trip to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, followed by the conference dinner.
